More teenagers and young adults die from bullying related suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia, influenza, and chronic lung disease, COMBINED. We need to raise th1417380894-634-pitchImgshutterstock_6543931-500x430e public awareness about the rise in bullying and suicide.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s 2013 Youth Risk Behavioral Survey over ONE out of every THIRTEEN young people in our nation attempted suicide in the previous 12 months. It is our hope that our program will help provide some of the information, tools and resources to help parents identify at-risk youth and know how to assist them in getting help before a tragedy occurs. Prevention begins with education and mobilizing the community around the issues of bullying and bullying related suicides. V Cares™ will provide education surrounding these issues to the community, making them more aware of tools and resources that surround them.

V Cares™ will work with the public school system to create specifically designed programs for parents and teens. The programs & seminars will tackle the tough subject of teen suicide & bullying and provides strategies of awareness and prevention for parents and other adults. Expanding support systems so that students know that there is help available for them whenever needed.
